REGISTRATION
Students from foreign universities participating in international programmes shall enrol at their universities of origin. Erasmus students will be given a special student card which will entitle them to the all services and rights which a student of the Universitat de València has.
Upon arrival in Spain, you need to register at the international office. The following documents will be required:
An Student card will be provided and you will be registered with the International Office. You must submit these two documents and the enrolment certificate, firstly, to your tutor-to-be, who will advise you on the courses to take, and then to the college office where you wish to enrol. You must pay for the school insurance (1'12 Euros), if you are under 28. ECTS students will only need to submit a copy of the Learning Agreement in the corresponding office where enrolment is made.
Before leaving your country of origin, you should enquire about the medical coverage you are entitled to as a European student, and apply for the form E-111 OR e-128, which covers for medical care in the Spanish public hospitals. If you are not European, you are advised to check if there is a health agreement with Spain; if there is not one, it would be convenient to take out a private insurance policy.
If you are not a citicen of the European Union at the Spanish Embassy will provide you of a student visa for 3 months. We can ask for you a longer one if you bring us the next documents:
The Universitat de València office hours are: Monday to Friday from 9h. to 14h. You should plan your arrival in Valencia in advance.
